Walk out of our front gate, pass the spring, cross a paddy field and you enter into another world. Various species of monkey swing above your head, colourful birds sing in the forest canopy overhead. Our guide Lawrence Kibosho knows the forest well and willingly organises walks in the forest. Allow about 2 hours for the walk. The best views of Kilimanjaro are often obtained early in the morning however sunsets are also magnificent and it is frequently possible to see the silhouette of Mount Meru on the horizon from the edge of the forest.
