Not Included: Detailed Itinerary: DAY 1: Arrive at the Kilimanjaro International Airport and be transferred to the Springlands Hotel for overnight bed and breakfast. DAY 2: The drive from Moshi to Manyara National Park, can take approx. 4 hours. In
Manyara, after having a picnic lunch, you start the late afternoon with a game
drive, which is also the best time to view animals in this park. When you
approach it from the east, the Rift Valley escarpment looms on the horizon
forming an impressive back drop to the lake. In the tall trees, forest monkeys
leap from branch to branch, and on the escarpment, elephants stand in the shade
of acacia. Other animals frequently seen are leopards, zebras, impalas,
monkeys, giraffes, buffalos, hippos and others. Overnight at the Highview
Hotel. (BLD) DAY 3: Drive to Serengeti National Park via Olduvai Gorge. Olduvai George is an
archaeological site located in the eastern Serengeti plains, in which early
human fossils ware first discovered. It has the amazing landscape that resulted
from the tectonic forces, which created the Great Rift Valley million of years
ago. Then in the late evening drive to Serengeti and overnight at the Ikoma

day game viewing in the park. Picnic lunch besides you, take your leisure while
exploring the only truly world heritage site, where largest concentration of

overnight at Ikoma Wild Camp (basic camp). (BLD) DAY 5: Morning tour in Serengeti and afternoon drive to Ngorongoro then to Simba

see black rhino in Tanzania as well as the prides of lion that includes the
magnificent black manned males. There are lots of colorful flamingoes and the

members of the antelope family and small mammals of sorts can also be seen. In

evening you may have walking safaris at the coffee plantations while watching
birds and returning back to Highview Hotel for the evening. (BLD) DAY 4: Choose from hiking/cultural tours in Karatu or hiking in the Empakai Crater KARATU: After breakfast, take a walking safari in coffee plantations, entering into
the highlands around Karatu and go bird watching then back to the camp/hotel
for a rest and lunch. In late afternoon, take another walk to local waterfalls
or visit the cultural of the Iraqw people. In the evening return back to
Highview Hotel for dinner and overnight. EMPAKAI: After breakfast, drive through the highlands to the rim of the Empakai Crater.
With its deep, very blue lake ringed by flamingo, Empakai is one of the most
dramatic and beautiful treks. Walking in the crater, you will explore this
unique forested crater on foot and marvel at the variety of wildlife and fauna.
In the evening return back to Highview Hotel for dinner and overnight. DAY 5: Drive from Karatu camp to Tarangire National Park, which takes approx. three
and a half hours drive. This park is spectacular in the dry season when many of
the migratory wildlife species come back to the permanent waters of Tarangire
River. Huge herds of wildebeest, zebras, elephants, elands and Oryx gather to
stay in Tarangire until the onset of the rain when they migrate again to good
grazing areas. In the late evening drive to the airport to catch the flight
