We are fortunate to have plentiful fresh water at Springlands - from our borehole which taps into the local crystal clear spring waters. These in turn have come down from the snowfields of Kilimanjaro, filtered through the porous lava ashes.

We have installed a very modern water purification system, a small amount of sodium chloride is added to the pool water and the hypochlorite concentration monitored. When it drops too far the water is electrolysed to regenerate hypochlorite in situ. To many this information is really quite uninteresting - but swimming in the pool is great fun!
