This conveniently located lodge is exclusively for the use of Zara clients. 2km away from Karatu village it is just a short drive from the entrance to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, making it a useful base for visiting the crater. Lake Manyara is just a 25 minute drive away and the lodge is conveniently located on the way to, or from the Serengeti. The lodge is set near a coffee farm and commands an excellent view of the Ngorongoro forests which are just a short walk away from it. The rooms are mainly twin or double bedded with en-suite facilities and have a verandah overlooking the forests.

Facilities include a large open garden, open dining hall, lounge with fire place, gift shop, local and continental cuisine, laundry services and local guides for walks to the water falls, coffee plantation and to the forest reserve. Other than the walks further activities include bird watching and cycling. The local villages are friendly and provide a wonderful opportunity to see the local rural life.

The lodge is brand new and future facilities will include an internet cafe and swimming pool.
