The great variety of landscapes and environments available combined with the year-round relatively good weather make East Africa a prime walking and trekking destination. In order of physical demand:

Mountain Treks
Kilimanjaro takes at least 5 days to ascend and demands fitness combined with considerable determination but is suitable for walkers.
Mount Meru is a beautiful high volcano that is a worthy destination in its own right or it can be used as training for Kilimanjaro. The ascent takes 3 to 4 days and is demanding but suitable for walkers.

Walking Safaris
Our Crater Highland treks all involve walking from the Ngorongoro to Lake Natron. A great variety of scenery is encountered, the walking is not strenuous but you walk about 5 hours each day.
Ol Donyio Lengai is one of the very few active volcanoes. Its summit crater is easily accessible and invariably there is some action to be seen. The ascent involves a height gain of 1500m (5000ft) and takes 1 day, it is a steep rough trail involving some scrambling.

Apart from these, various half to one day walks are available:
Game Walking (Ikoma), Ngare Sero Gorge, Olduvai Gorge, Usambara Mountains.

Packages
These standard packages with regular departures are in the process of being designed for those people who may wish to join a fixed departure group:
